Terms of Service
Acceptance
By installing or using Tarot Land you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What the app is
Tarot Land is a daily-tarot ritual: you draw one card per day, optionally enter a one-line reflection, and read an AI-generated interpretation. You may ask up to ten follow-up questions of each reading. Additional readings beyond the free daily card are unlocked with tickets.
Entertainment only · not professional advice
Readings in Tarot Land are generated by an AI language model for entertainment and personal reflection. They are not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or spiritual advice. They are not a substitute for the judgement of a qualified professional.
Tarot Land does not predict the future. The cards are symbols you sit with; the LLM phrases an interpretation of those symbols in language. Choices in your life remain entirely yours.
If you are in distress, please contact a licensed mental-health professional or your local crisis line. In Korea, the suicide-prevention hotline is 1393. In the United States, dial or text 988.
Account
The app creates an anonymous guest account on first launch. You are responsible for the device the account lives on. If you lose access to that device, you lose access to your reading history; we cannot recover it because there is no email/password reset path. Settings → About shows your public code if you ever need to reference your account in a support email.
Tickets and purchases
- Tickets are consumable digital goods. Once spent on a reading, they are gone.
- Pricing is shown in your local storefront; the actual charge is made by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
- Apple and Google handle all refunds. We cannot refund through the app. Refund pages are linked from the Support page.
- Free daily reading: one reading per local calendar date, regardless of ticket balance. Unused free readings do not accumulate.
- Signup bonus tickets are granted once per device fingerprint within a lookback window. We do not knowingly grant bonuses to reinstall attempts.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer the server protocol or rate limits; impersonate another person; submit abusive, harassing, or illegal content through the feedback thread; or use automated scripts to interact with the service.
Content
The card art, copy, prompts, and code are owned by DoubleTime. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not redistribute the assets or reproduce the readings for commercial use without written permission.
The text you type (reflections, inquiries, feedback) belongs to you. We use it only to provide the service and respond to feedback.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that abuse the service (e.g. mass automated requests, exploit attempts against the IAP flow). Unused tickets in a terminated account are forfeit unless the termination is our error.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, accuracy of any reading, or that the app will meet your particular needs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded under Korean consumer-protection law.
Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence require otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version, always at tarotland.doubletime.co.kr/en/terms. Material changes will be flagged in-app where appropriate.
