Child Safety Statement
Target audience
Tarot Land is designed for adults. We declare the app's target age range as 18 and over in both the Apple App Store age-rating questionnaire and the Google Play Target Audience and Content declaration. The app is not designed for, marketed to, or appropriate for children under 18.
Reasons the app is adult-only
- Tarot is a traditional symbolic system that includes themes (Death, the Devil, the Tower, the Hanged Man, etc.) presented in a contemplative but not always cheerful tone.
- AI-generated readings reflect on personal life decisions; these are not suitable as guidance for minors who should consult parents, teachers, or licensed professionals.
- The app has an in-app purchase economy (consumable tickets) which we restrict to adults.
How we keep the app safe for our audience
- No advertising. We do not show ads, and no third-party ad SDKs are linked into the app. There is no surface for advertiser-tracked content to reach a user.
- No user-to-user content. Users cannot send messages to each other inside the app. The only conversation is between a user and the AI reading, or between a user and our admin support team via the in-app Feedback thread.
- No social-network features. No friend list, no public profiles, no shared feeds, no chat lobbies, no group rooms.
- No location, camera, microphone, or contacts access. The app does not request any of those permissions.
- AI safety guardrails. The LLM system prompt instructs the model to avoid medical, legal, financial, or crisis advice and to encourage users in distress to contact a licensed professional or local crisis line. The Terms of Service disclaimer states the same.
If a minor uses the app
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor we will:
- Disable the account immediately.
- Delete all readings, feedback threads, push tokens, and purchase-binding records associated with that account.
- Notify the platform (Apple / Google) of any abuse pattern we detect.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, please email contact@doubletime.co.kr with the public code from Settings → About (or as much identifying detail as you can provide) and we will delete the account within 48 hours.
Reporting child safety concerns
If you encounter content or behaviour in Tarot Land that involves a child's safety — for example, abuse described in an in-app feedback message — please email us at contact@doubletime.co.kr with the subject line "Child Safety Report". We triage these reports first.
For emergencies in Korea, contact 112 (police) or 1391 (child abuse reporting). In the United States, call 911 or the CyberTipline at 1-800-843-5678. Internationally, contact your country's child-protection authority.
CSAE policy (Google Play requirement)
Tarot Land prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) content in every form. We do not host user-uploaded media. The only user-submitted text reaches us through the in-app feedback thread, which is read by a small admin team. Any submission that depicts, promotes, or normalises the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor will be:
- Removed immediately.
- The submitting account will be permanently terminated and blocked at the device-fingerprint level.
- Reported to the appropriate authority (NCMEC CyberTipline for US, Korea National Police Agency for KR) and to Apple / Google as applicable.
